Sri Vasudeva Perumal Temple of Pathai Village in Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu, is one of the oldest temples in southern part of the State. Situated on the Banks of the river Pachayar near Kalakkad in Nanguneri Taluka, the villeage of Pathai has a history of more than 450 years.

Pathai Sri Vasudeva Perumal Temple, though a small one, is well administrated and to this day the temple routines and Nithyakala Poojas are conducted well.

The Maha Kumbhabhishekam has been conducted under Vaikanasa Sampradayam on 24.6.2005.


The Varushabhishekam function of the temple was celebrated on 12.7.2006 in grand manner.

The Sri Kannimoola Vinayakar Nuthana Vimana Kumbhabhishekam and Sri Vasudeva Perumal 2nd Varushabhishekam was celebrated on 2.7.2007.

The New Trust is formed in the name of “SRI VASUDEVA SEVA TRUST”.
